Here it is the first day of February. What a beautiful day it is too. It was 9° when I came into work this morning. brrrrr With five inches of snow and ice on the road. The evergreens looked beautiful and the snow on the fields was great!
As I listened to the radio on the way in this morning they are starting the Childrens Miracle Network Drive. The little boy they were talking too was twelve and has cancer. He sounded more like a 20 year old. These little kids live through so much in their quest to get better.
This young man was ask: "Did you ever questions God as to why you have cancer?"
He said: "NO, why would I? God knows what he is doing. When I die and go to heaven to be with him he will then tell me why. It is for a reason, a reason I don't need to know now."
I thought, if only some adults had the wisdom of that child. We groan and moan when things don't go our way. We question "why" when it is not for us to know.
We as Americans need to look around us, with news from all over the world being brought into our homes every evening we can see how bad others have it. We have a home, clothes and food to eat. Most of us have our health.
We ALL have the privilage to serve God and learn about him. Yet, some don't.
In this month of February - the LOVE month. Do something you may not have done before. PAY IT FORWARD. What is that?
Do something nice for someone else. Do it without expecting a favor in return. When they ask why, just tell them to PAY IT FORWARD. It could be paying for a friends lunch, or helping a neighbor with something. When you see a need, just do it. YOU will feel good about it.
