First Snow of the year

We woke this morning to snow - it was so pretty - big flakes falling and covering the ground. We had expected to get between 5 to 9 inches, but we only got about 3 or 4. Not bad.

Brenton really enjoyed playing in it this afternoon. He and his mom made snow angels, threw snow balls and took photos.

Today we had lunch with mom and Trish (me, Jeni and Brenton) at Olive Garden. This was our Christmas lunch, as Wednesday is my surgery. I won't be going anywhere for awhile after that.

Did I say that I will have 4 hours of surgery, then go home within and hour or two; with Bob to be my nurse? How scary is that? Not with Bob being my nurse, but going home after such major surgery. I thought I would stay in the hospital overnight, but nope. They cut, sew and send them home anymore.

Imagine having all the skin from your pelvic to your breast bone cut from the muscles then the muscles in your six pack and stomach area cut and pulled back into place and stitched together, then have all the skin cut off as it is stretched very tight and sewn from hip to hip. Then let them lipo you in the thighs and hips - leaving in drains ...... okay - I think you get the idea. THEN go home.... that is what I am talking about.... aughhhhhh

Like I said, Do I know how to spend my Christmas holiday or what? ha ha

Your prayers and thoughts would be appreciated on Wednesday and the week or so following for a quick recovery.
