Well, I guess Winter is here with a vengance and there is nothing we can do about it.
I HAD to go to WM today to get food - who knows - Living in Kansas we could get snowed or iced in for several days and we need food right? I had to (of course) buy a bunch of "stuff" that didn't need to be cooked - because if the power goes out - my electric stove doesn't do much to help with cooking.
Or the microwave, what about coffee (?), okay now that is just scary - I can eat nuts and chips, but I HAVE to have my coffee or someone might get hurt! You know? It is kind of like not having chocolate in the house when I am under a lot of stress - you BETTER have some chocolate hid somewhere that you can get to me in a hurry.
Okay, so I am kidding - (kind of?).... I did go to the store today, then had to stop by Dillons gas service area to get ice melt - because it has been drizzling rain all day and the temp was only 29 degrees. As I was going to pay for it - I turned into one of those cartoon characters that you see on ice - you know kind of like Bambi? My legs were doing a dance (every direction but right) and I went down.
I was grabbing for anything within reach to help catch myself - and I turned - only to hit the side of my jaw on a huge post made to stop cars from slamming into the building. Instead I slammed into the stupid post. Ouch! I came out of it with a few bruises and sore shoulder etc. and a huge headache. I will, however, live...
For some reason I seem to be the one that tries to be careful and yet I manage to body slam into I-beams while going down the stairs at work. I fall up stairs. I jam my leg into my knee just by trying to take the trash out. What can I say, God forgot to put "grace" into my makeup when he assembled me.
