Only in Kansas

Yesterday it was 85 degrees - today it is 43 degrees. We are freezing our little tushies off here!

I will make my font green because the white blossoms on the Bradford pear trees are blowing off (like snow, but without the mess) and the green leaves are starting to come forth. We have our flower beds ready to plant but will wait a week or two because you NEVER know we might still get a freeze or snow - who knows in Kansas!

My niece, Anna and her husband, Chris are coming to Wichita this Saturday and staying overnight. Anna wants to show Chris what a REAL loose meat sandwich is suppose to taste like - so we will take them to the original Nu-Way Sandwich shop.

Than Saturday evening they want to take dad, her grandpa, out to dinner for his 85th birthday. Sunday morning they will go to church with them then return home after lunch. (That hasn't been decided on yet - either Grandma's homemade taco's or Felipe's Mexican Restraint - another of Anna's favorites.)

I haven't been doing too much scrap-booking lately but did make a digital page the other night while watching TV. You can see that on the right side of the page. These are my cousin's precious grand kids. Cody (the only boy), Kylee (lighter hair) and Jayce (dark hair). Don't know if I spelled those right or not, but they are close. They are Nathan and Janie Mingle's children.

My daughter, Jen, had a job interview today and I so hope she gets it. It would be perfect for her. It will be in a new hospital they are building on the far West side of Wichita. She would be taking care of scheduling 3 surgery rooms and all that goes with that. Dealing with the patients, doctors and nurses. She loves the administrative side of health care.

Jeremy is still working - so that is a blessing. He and Casey went to KC a couple of weekends ago and had a lot of fun. Last weekend Casey went to Hutchinson to be with family for Easter. Our family went to Jose' Pepper's for dinner. What? Mexican can be a good traditional Easter dinner! Especially since I didn't have to cook it!!!

That is about it for now! Hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter weekend. We enjoyed spending time with ours!
