Here it is November - mid November.
I actually bought a few Christmas gifts today. Since my kids are grown and my grandson is a teenager they prefer money. However, it isn't that much fun just to give money. I like to see people open their gifts and see if they enjoy them. Hopefully they do.
In fact, my mom and cousin seen the snow we had last night. It didn't snow long but I guess it was BIG splattering flakes. I didn't get to see it. Darn. Snow is great when you don't have to get out in it. I know that I already miss my fireplace from the bigger house. There is nothing to curl up to on a cold night and read or watch TV.
Tonight my kids and grandson are coming over for snacks and a movie. That should be fun. We haven't done that in ages. That is the next best thing to a fireplace!
Some have ask; so let me say, mom is doing as well as can be expected since Dad's passing. She is very active in her church so she has several activities she is involved in weekly. That helps get her out. On Saturdays my cousin and I go to lunch with her and usually do a little shopping or looking around at stuff. Since I work full time it is hard to get over there and spend as much time as I would like too.
I am doing as good as can be expected also. All it takes is a photo or see something he built and I start crying. It will just take time.
Last week we ended up putting on a new roof, replacing an ice maker and getting our yard winterized. The insurance company only covered 3/4 of our roof as damaged. Stupid huh? So we had to pay the rest. Not sure how we will come out on that deal but I know it won't be good. However, we got a 30 year 3 tab shingle and it looks REALLY nice.
Oh, and I opened my email this morning to find out I had been hacked and someone had sent viagra ads to everyone in my email list. THAT sucks! Some of those addresses were business customers! How embarrassing is that? I tried to write everyone to let them know I didn't do it. I don't know why people find it funny to do that.
Wasn't sure how to fix it so I changed my password and deleted all the cookies in my history. I will also scan it for viruses when I close down.
