Lights and Glitter of Vegas

My daughter went to Vegas last weekend, isn't the photo pretty? Yet, when I look at it I am reminded of something my old pastor used to say; "The road to hell is wide and easy. The road to heaven is narrow and hard."

You look at the photo and it is beautiful, but the sins of the city are hidden by the glow of the lights. People being robbed, porn being sold right on the street, gambling going on and drinking all over the place.

Now don't get me wrong - I am not so naive that I wouldn't want to go see the beautiful fountains and lights, and maybe put a few quarters in the slot machines. But yet, I think of all the wrong that goes on in a place like this. They make their money on peoples addictions. On the lust of the flesh and the sickness of those wanting to see the porn then do something with the images they seen.

Gives you something to think about. huh?
