It seems to be the "status" to make New Year's resolutions - the only one I make and keep is making pinto beans, fried potatoes and cornbread for dinner. I used to do the "blackeyed pea" thing but decided I don't like the taste of them so changed to something we do like. It is still a bean isn't it? Besides would a blackeyed pea, or a bean REALLY make you have a lucky year?
My trip to Germany went well, the job role I was there for proved successful and my trip to Paris was a cherry on the top. I can't say enough about Paris - I loved it, I love the cowds, the small spaces, the people, the city, the metro, the river, the air - everything about it. If you EVER get the chance to go - do it.
I have joined the world of Twitter - it is a message scene where you can type in 140 characters or less "What are you doing?". I have made vitural friends and even met some in person.
I have joined "Flickr" and go to a "Flickr" club as a result of a new friend from Twitter. Be sure to check out my photos on: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cntrystyln My Paris and Germany photos are on there.
It really took me awhile to get oriented again after my trip. International travel is exhausting and then you have the flight cancelations, missing connections - the weather, not to mention the loss of 7 hours that you don't seem to ever regain. I have been tired ever since I got home and have been in sort of a "fog", working and living on remote control.
Watching the way the world is going right now can freak one out. I don't even open my financial statements. I don't want to see how much I have lost in the stock market.
I am not happy with the president elect - but I feel sorry for him as he is taking over a HUGH MESS, that not only the past administration but former administrations before him have left for someone to clean up. I can almost feel the relief that the Bushes are feeling in walking away from the White House so they can rest.
I don't watch very much of the news, I read it online. Then I can go past what I don't want to read. I don't want my mind dwelling on all the bad stuff. You might ask - am I putting my head in the sand? No, I am not. I have read my Bible, I know that the wars in the middle East are not going to be solved by anyone. They will continue until the end of time. We can not go in and make them "happy", they will never be happy.
I know enough that we BETTER protect Isarel, because if we turn our back on them God will turn his back on us. They are the chosen people and as his children we better watch their backs.
When I was in college I done a study on the "Conspiracy Theory" and the "Skull and Bones Society". The conspiracy theory states that America will become a country of "service" and not production. This was the intent from many years ago.
Our leaders have been chosen from the "Skull and Bones Society" all the way back to Roosevelt. That America is owned and operated by the wealthy and the plan has been to do away with the middle class people. Sound like something you have read lately? Yeah, kind of scary isn't it?
If you want to get a little more freaked out, think of this. In the bible a country called the Great Eagle stops being talked about. American is the Great Eagle - where do we go? Do we get bought out by a foreign country? (Our dollar keeps going down in valve, to the point it may not be worth much and we owe other countries LOTS of money.) Are we destroyed? What happens to America? Whatever it is, we are not mentioned in the bible anymore.
But now wait, before you become freaked out - remember something - if you are truly a born again, washed in the blood of Jesus Christian - you have nothing to worry about. If you have read the end of the book - WE WIN. Maybe this year will be the year.
Maybe that bean will be lucky after all !!!!
